Ashley’s bone density scan today. The lady doing the scan printed off the results for us to take home. Not sure how to interpret them as yet, but on the chart there is a red line which denotes average bone density for Ashley’s age and the white small box on that chart is his bone density result.
He was good through the scan and kept really still so it only took about 10 minutes to do roughly. You could see the scanner do a line at a time. Quite fascinating. This is the first kid they had used the program on as it was new. In the past they have scanned children with the adult scan programe and she seemed to think it was inaccurate.
He was allowed to wear his clothing as it had no metal fasterners on, so he was happy about that!
