Our grandson, now 9, with swcah, fell during a soccer game when he was 5 and broke his elbow.  My daughter immediately took him to the E.R. where he was treated.  His arm was put in a cast for 6 weeks (all summer) and it healed normally.  My daughter doubled up his medications the evening of his injury, but he was never seen by his endo due to the break and was never in any crisis. He’s still active in all sports, especially football.  We just hold our breath, let him be "a boy" and hope no more injuries will occur.  We have on hand, the solu-cortef, but luckily have never had to administer it.  Good luck with your little one....I’m sure he’ll be fine and enjoy his youth .
