Hydrocortisone no longer seems to be suppressing my 14 year old son’s 17 OHP levels or giving him enough cortisol despite increases in doses etc.  After much deliberation it has been decided to change him to predisilone.  Has anyone any experience of this and had any problems?  I am just wondering why if this is such a longer acting drug isn’t the equivalent dose used for children?
