I have been on Prednisolone for many years and throughout my teen years. I’ve never had any problems with it specifically. I do get slightly increased amounts of bruising but probably no more than those on other corticosteroids. My bone density at this stage is still good, (40+ years). Looking back at my medical notes, I see, with some envy, that my weight at aged 18 was about 52 kilograms (approx 114 pounds), height 157.5cms, (approx 5’2"). Currently about 63kgs,  now that must be.....these wretched pounds....138 pounds.

My sister, on the other hand tried Prednisolone for awhile and found she became more puffy in the face. She returned to Dexamethasone, which seems to work best for her.
