My oldest SW CAH son was on Cortisone Acetate when he was born and for the first year, the endo was completely over treating him, he looked like a big balloon face, at the time, prior to this board, I did not really know better, anyway I got wise and got a second opinion, and that is when I found out cortisone acetate is not really used to treat CAH anymore. The injectable is long lasting but does not kick in fast enough. I switched endos and now both of my boys take cortef and are doing great.
