re: Cost of a CAH Child and continued IVF chat

If I was having fertility problems and needed IVF, then yes why not pre-screen or screen out CAH? But to do it to without fertility problems does seem expensive and needless waste.

For what it is worth - I took the dex and it is a very small amount.  No affects on my children that I can tell.  No way is $20k out of pocket expenses for a CAH testing and medication - even if you count what the insurance pays. But my CAH 8 year old son who is very tight with his money, did say - "when I grow up do I have to waste my money to buy pills for my CAH".  Too funny!
