When folks that don’t take steroids for replacement therapy have a live vaccine, that is where the danger comes in. That is because they are taking a steroid on top of what their body would normally make. Our kids only have what their bodies would normally make which is completely different. The Pharmacists don’t really know much about this stuff anyway so I would not worry. All they know is what they read in the contradindication of drugs. Most of the contrainidcations of steroids should not apply to our kids. However, that is entirely down to whether your Doctor is doing a good job of making sure that your child is not overtreated. If growth has been good, and clinical assesments and bloods are good, then getting the vaccine should be fine.Anne-Marie
