3 Beta Hydroxylase deficiency effects the same symptoms as 21 Hydroxylase deficiency but just not in the same direct way.  Because you have the slight ability to make all three of the steroids (those being mineralocorticoids, glucocorticoids and sex steroids) unfortunately that means that your body keeps trying to make them if you don’t replace what it cannot make.  So in your situation Bebe,  you are making elevated amounts of them.  The fact that can can make such (albeit at reduced amounts ) and due to the nautre of the HPA axis---you are continually producing all three continually without a break I would imagine.  These steroids would be as elevated therefore as what they would be with LOCAH in 21 Hydroxylase deficiency.

Good to hear your having a boy anyway, but I would still be wary of your pregnancy and look for any signs or symptoms of early labour and if you have any problems or worries, I would not hesitate to get the midwife or Doctor.

Take care,

Anne-Marie
