When handling pills, nothing should be absorbed if you wash your hands afterwards.  There is a possibility of ingesting the powder after splitting them if you don’t wash them though and then eat with your hands but it is very small I would imagine.  It can be absorbed through the skin in the form of topical creams that are prepared.  In it’s dry form however, I doubt it.
