I would drop her back down to one pill asap and get onto your Doctor and tell her what you have done.  She needs more corticosteroid for the pain and the stress not more mineralocorticoid.

May take a day or so for her blood pressure to settle back down but I would definately stop the extra pill.  As for the pain, the nerve block is a good idea, given that pain in that area has got to be excruciating and she needs to be pain free as possible with her condition.  Surely the blocks only work a few hours though.  Having had epidural, they wear off after 12 hours and then boy oh boy does the pain kick in with avengance.  She must be really distressed and I would have thought that taking the extra florinef and then stressing out as she must be with any procedures or the pain is the wrong combination if anything.
