I’d say peanut butter being like a cream almost would affect someone and be absorbed like a topical steroid cream.  However, in its hydrogenated form, I don’t think it would cause a problem unless it was somehow ingested orally or inhaled.  That’s why I tend to think that when we split tablets, as long as we wash of the residue, there should be no absorption through the skin, and if there is for that small instant that the poweder is moisened when we put our hands under the faucet, that would be a small amount.  The rest would be rinsed away more than likely.  If you were to kiss someone who had just chewed a hydrocortisone tablet--well that may be more of a problem.  Or even licked your fingers after splitting tabs.
