I used amitriptylene (Elavil) many years ago for an agonizing nerve injury due to surgery.  We started low and increased the dosage until the nerve quieted down.  I only stayed on the high dose for a short time.  I decreased shortly and the pain never returned.

What is Kristin’s elavil dose?  Is it given once a day or in divided doses?  How long has she been taking it?
