Based on Olivia, it probably won’t be too long before you won’t have to disolve the late dose. What I have done for quite a while with Olivia is to tap her teeth with the pill, and when she opens up a little bit I shove it in (making sure it is behind the teeth). She just chews in her sleep.

It was wonderful the day I was able only carry the pills and not have to worry about syringes!
