You’re welcome, Monica.   However, when I click on the URL contained in the above note from the peds-endo chatline, I see that it doesn’t take you directly to the  message board that I was talking about.  Just in case you had trouble finding it....once you get to the pens home page, look on the left hand side.  There will be a link there that says "bulletin board."  If you look there, there will be two threads talking about the factrel shortage and what other drugs to use.  One is headlined "Factrel shortage."  The other "GnRH testing."  The second contains reference to a paper in JCEM that gives a protocol for testing using Lupron, by a Dr. Garibaldi.  I believe he is based in New Jersey.   

I have a son, also 9, who underwent the LHRH stim test a couple of years ago, and has been on Lupron since.  I know how worrying impending puberty can be.  Good luck!
