Any idea what is the exit path for 17-OHP meaning once it is produced instead of cortisol, what happens to it and what is the time frame ?

Reason I ask is that given the test results for my daughter, I’m trying to figure out it a result of 10ng/dl at about 4 hours after the morning dose means that she got sufficient meds at 7 but not at the ACTH surge early morning but since we are measuring at 11 am somehow the build up of 17-ohp that might have occurred at 4 am to 7 am found its way out of her system or got converted to something else.  So if we measure that "something else" too and that was abnormally high then we know that indeed there was a 17-ohp build up.

Would that be a more practical approach.  I wish there was a way for us to measure levels at 4am at home !!!!
