Genine,

Not too long ago, I was in your shoes. Just cried and cried until I went numb.  I even started hallucinating about how all of this was just one bad dream. Started to blame myself, then lost faith for a while. All I can say is that I had never been so sad in my entire life and here was an occasion to actually be delirious ! Being a first time mom, not only did I have to deal with learning the ropes but the stress of dealing with CAH. My little girl is 9 and half months old and believe me , we have come a long long way. It is certainly scary at first. So many new terms and the threat of a crisis hanging over your head. My advice to you is to learn, be educated about CAH. Nobody knows your child like you do and if something is amiss, trust your instinct. Never be at the mercy of a doctor. Educate yourself so they take you seriously. There are some wonderful people here on the forum who share their knowledge so generously. Take advantage of that.

It will get better. Believe that and enjoy your little angel. Do let us know if you have any specific questions,

Good luck and God Bless,

SueG
