AimeeCAH has nothing to do with being a hermaphrodite they are two different birth defects. In the past a girl with CAH that had extremely ambiguous genitals could of also been called a psuedo-hermaphrodite which means false hermaphrodite.
Having a birth defect is not funny and the fact that you want to make a comedy and entertain people about this is mean and insensitive to the issue. Intersexed isn’t a joke either, there are many different birth defects that come under that umbrella and they are not something to entertain people about either. People die from these birth defects do you realize that?
An adult that didn’t have a clitoral recession most likely didn’t need one many people with CAH don’t have defect of their genital area or they just have it a little larger that the norm.
Telling someone about CAH ? Not that hard, it starts way back when you first meet the person and they eventually ask about your medic alert bracelet. You then tell them you weren’t born with the ability to make cortisol and you take the cortisone (fill in the blank here ______ for me it would be prednisone, others maybe dex or hydrocortisone) oh I forgot, the saltwasters tell them about that, I’m just a simple virilizer. CAH is similar to diabetes only easier to deal with than that. Then you go out for months, If you think you are interested in the person in a physical way you just come out and tell them that your clitoris is larger then average due to the androgens not being suppressed by the cortisol in the adrenal gland.
If the persons really cares about YOU this is not a problem for them. I’ve talked with women with CAH that told me that they and their husbands or boyfriends were not bothered by their larger clitorises. To put it bluntly many more orgasms makes everyone happy(LOL). I know of people that got clitoral surgery done as an adult, they did it for themselves and they felt better. Every person feels different about this. As for the people for the people that had clitoral surgery done back in the day when they just cut without any regards to nerves it’s the same thing. If the person really cares for you in that way, the surgery doesn’t matter. Relationships with CAH are no different then other people. You keep going until you find the person that is meant for you.
