Kelly LeightDear Genine,
I tried to email you, but your email address does not work. After reading over your posts, I noticed that you said you brought the baby to Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital. Do you live in PA? If so, PA screens for CAH at birth and I am wondering why your child’s condition was not detected throug newborn screening. If you live in Ohio, OH does not screen for CAH. Given what you have been through, maybe you would be willing to call the chair of the Ohio newborn screening advisory panel and tell him about the horrible ordeal you have been through and urge them to implement CAH newborn screening. You can call or email me about this if you want.
I hope your son is doing better now. If you need a physician referral, please call also because there is a wonderful CAH experienced pediatric endocrinologist in Pittsburgh named Dr. Selma Witchel. I can give you her phone number.
Kind Regards,
Kelly
