Switching to prednisolone from Cortef tabs.........

My daughter is supposed to switchg tomorrow from her Cortef tablets to prednisolone.  I have no experience with anything other than Cortef tabs or the Cortef suspension way back a few years ago........anything I should know about making the switch?  This is kind of scary for me, I think more so for me than for my daughter as she is only 5.

The whole reason we are switching from the Cortef suspension to the prednisolone is because twice in a row, her 17OHP levels have come back elevated.  The first time they were about 14,000, and the second time they were about 1500.  She is very good about taking pills, and would never spit them out as I watch her until they are gone.  We were searching for a reason why her levels were so out of whack, when she seemed to be very well controlled on the same medication for the past 2 years.  The only variable in the equation is that she has developed a chronic urinary tract infection, and she is now on preventitive antibiotics.  I asked her endo if the levels could be out of whack because she was getting the antibiotics at night with her largest dose of Cortef, and at first she said " NO PROBLEM".  When I mentioned it to her again, she said "WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL ME SHE WAS GETTING THE ANTIBIOTIC AT THE SAME TIME AS HER LARGEST DOSE OF CORTEF AT NIGHT.....THAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM."  But instead of spacing the 2 meds and trying that for a while, she insisted we switch to the prednisolone.  Does anyone know of any interactions between the steroids and antibiotics?

Also, we are on 2x a day dosing.  I have been reading all the posts on cicadian rythyms and the best dosing times, and for some reason, we were not instructed to follow any kind of schedule.  The kids get their smallest does in the am, around 8am when they are eating breakfast, and the largest dose around 11pm.  This seems ineffective according to all that I have read.  Again I have metioned to the endo my concern about 2x a day vs 3x a day dosing, but have never gotten the impression from her that it made much of a difference, and THAT concerns me as well.

Any help or info would be greatly appreciated...............
