I think, in my opinion, that if you feel strongly enough about this method of treating CAH, you need to find a doctor who does this.  I would like to discuss this with my endo, but I would never just change my kids meds without discussing it first.  If you have a concern, you need to schedule an earlier appointment.  If a medical emergency happens between now and then, you are putting the doctor at a disadvantage in treating your child because he does not have the whole picture.  You don’t need his consent, but you do need to have a doctor be the one treating you child.  Pick the doctor you want, but it seems dangerous to go this thing on your own.  I would certainly hate for anyone on this board attempt to do the same.
