Our daughter is 4 and has only been hospitalized once (other than at 2 weeks of age when she was diagnosed with SW CAH) for a severe case of the flu (repeated vomiting and a fever of 104+). She was given an IV and was home the next day. Other than that we give Tylenol for a fever and double or triple her hydrocortisone depending on the degree of fever. We also give Gatorade especially if she vomits. For diarrhea we also double her dose and give Gatorade to prevent dehydration and keep the electrolyes up. Bananas are also good for diarrhea.

Hope this helps. Take care.
