It would not matter if there is an emergency because the protocol is always to take the WHOLE of the daily dose and double or triple it and then divide this into three or four doses and dose 6-8 hourly.  You would never follow the new regime when a child is ill because to be honest at times of illness, you need really to have as I said above here.  Not small doses and big doses.  When I child is sick, they need regular even doses until they recover.

We changed over, but I felt I understood the regime inside out really.  I was confident that no more harm would come to him on that than what it would if he stayed on the other ludicrous regime, where your stomping all over GH at night.

I am by no means a bossy person.  Quite shy, but when I know something is doing damage more than it is doing good, and I know what is best for my child I will be firm.  We took an advocate to make sure that we were listened to.

Yes it is good to get Endo’s approval, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the regime, and I would say that chopping and changing is not good anyway.  Far better now she has been on it a week to stick with it and carry it through.  To my mind that took gut’s in itself and also a certainty that it was what was best for the child.  I am sure any parent would NOT flit about with regime’s unless they knew what they were doing and was absolutely sure it was what was best for their child.
