I think all of us went through the same thing when we first brought our kids home. I could never get Jonathan to take all the salt the doctor prescibed. When we (worriedly) asked him about it at the next appointment, he said to get him to take as much as we could and not worry about it. Most stories I’ve heard are like this. Don’t think you’re incompetent for doing something that most likely can’t be done. I’d suggest pesting the doctor’s office about it. Maybe they’ll be a little more straight forward next time.
