Sandra,

Thanks for your support.  I just found out today, when I was whispering words to him and didn’t react at all. Then I just made a lot of noises while he was sleeping and again, no response. I called my ped. He said that, apparently, the CAH 21-hydroxylase might be associated with some hearing problems... What can I say? Why was it not found out before? He says it can be treatable. I’m trying to make the tests on him tomorrow to get a diagnostic about how serious this is.

So, definitely yes, they do tests on newborn hearing in Spain, but also for congenital hyperplasia... and here I am. It’s the second time that they miss a diagnostic with my son. But I will deal with that later, I promise you!  Now I just have too many things to worry about!

I’ll tell you about the results.

Un abrazo,

Macarena
