I meant to say a Doctor should NOT talk about a 13 yo like that in front of her.  When I referred to my experiences, I wanted to say that on that I occasion I spoke about Ashley in front of him and this woman said, " Don’t talk like that in front of Ashley as he may get distressed." 

This was I felt a ploy to have me shut up and just put up with what was happening where their dosing was concerned.   I just said that on this occasion, due to the seriousness of his health situation, I had no option BUT to speak to her in front of him and that it was NOT my fault that she chose to come to his room and discuss the issues.  It could have been done near the nurses station.  But that if the appropriate treatment was not given, he would be  a little more than mentally distressed."
