re: BSA and dose per square meter

Something wrong with the calculator at Halls I think.  I input 119 lbs and 4ft 9" and it spews out 1.47 m2 for some reason.

They ask for the age, but it doesn’t matter Michelle because those two figures are all that are needed as Laura has illustrated to give you an idea.  I think the only reason the age is asked for on the site is that it gives you the body type.  I.e. perhaps for 13 yo one the same weight would be normal because they have a little more fat at puberty and things change) and for a ten yo it would be interpreted as obese.   I say that because I put both ages in and the body mass is the same but the body description differs I think.

I’m just confused now because Laura calculated the BMI at 1.5 m2 and that calculator says 1.47m2.  I am wondering if the calculator is stuffed up because the site has changed some also visually and has more info about the different methods of calculating BMI etc.

Ashley is aged ten but somewhat smaller so his dose is only 16.25mg per day in total.  He is 129 cm’s and 35 lbs.
