Reducing dosage
Nov. 2nd, 2002   11:47pm

Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced their childrens’ dosage decreasing consistently. My daughter started with 2mg/2mg/2mg, then went to 2/1/2 and is now on 1/1/2.  This was because her levels seemed to stay consistently low. I was under the impression that as a child gets older their dosage will increase because of Body Surface Area and all that. So I’m really perplexed as to what’s going on.  Could there be some kind of a consistent lab error. We use Quest Diagnostics since that’s what our insurance will allow.

She is not showing any physical signs of over or undersuppression or is there something specifically I have to look for. She had a bone age done at 4 months and she was right on track. Should I have one repeated already. She’s 11 months now ?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

SueG
