My husband....non-CAH, btw....has a chalky white residue after a hefty workout at the gym.  It’s salt residue in his case....he’s a heavy-duty sweater....sweat, sweat, sweat....I hate doing his laundry....it’s dripping (GROSS).  Anyway, his face and arms will have traces of dried salt.
