Thanks for responding. I talked to another doctor who said that with
that level my son may not even have CAH but may be a carrier in which
case they wouldn’t treat him. I don’t understand why it matters what
his genotype is if he is having symptoms and effects from excess
androgens.

The first doctor said to wait and see. Measure his height and levels
in January. I guess there are some drawbacks to beginning treatment.
It could stop his growth and he’d have to take it for years once we start.

I’m also worried that my 13 year old daughter who misses periods won’t
be treated either.
