Hi all,

I am new to the board. I am interested in Gina’s question as well. Brief summary: I have a 15 month old daughter (SVCAH), who has been taking Pediapred since 2 weeks of age (time of diagnosis) until I switched to a new endocrinologist last week. The new endo prescribed Cortef. Previous genetic testing on my daughter to locate the gene mutations for CAH (conducted for future pregnancies), did not produce any findings (i.e., they could not locate any gene alterations typically associated with CAH). Due to these findings and a previous hx of hypertension during my pregnancy with my daughter, I have been advised not to take the dex therapy during future pregnancies. Anyone with a similar experience? I will also check the archives.

Thanks,
