11 yr old son may be done growing-need info
Nov. 26th, 2002   1:00am

My son goes to his endo every 4 months. At our last appt. in Sept. she was expecting his biggest growth spurt and he, for the first time ,did not grow a bit so we fear he has reached his tallest. He is 5’1. He was misdiagnosed for years and not correctly diagnosed until almost 8 yrs and his bone age was already very advanced. He is not a salt waster and takes hydrocotisone 3x per day. While we are of course very thankful he is otherwise doing well and could be much worse off I was wondering if anyone knows of anything that can be done once they reach the point of stopping growing? I’m afraid that except for what I read on here and what our endo suggests I don’t have any further info. His endo is very well respected in our city but I do like to keep my ears & eyes open to the latest news. For instance, she has never discussed the rhythm method of giving meds. Any advice would be appreciated.
