newly diagnosed

I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy on September 15th.  Ten days later my husband and I learned that his blood work had raised a red flag, possible congenital adrenal hyperplasia.  After several blood tests, it has been confirmed.  He takes hydrocortisone and florinef, I think I spelled that right.  We also have a two and half year old son, Jared.  We are hoping that Jared doesn’t have this disorder.  My husband tells me that Dakota will be fine as long as he gets his meds.  We meet with the endocrinologist this coming Tuesday to get more details on how to change his meds according to illnesses, etc.  I guess I am scared for both of my sons.  I have a friend who lost her 3 year old to a tragic snowmobile accident this past January.  I can’t even image what she went through and what she still goes through.  Even if no one replies to my message I still feel somewhat better that I got some of my feelings off of my chest.  It is so hard to talk to other mothers I know because they don’t know what I am going through.
