Anne-MarieI have been studying the effects of cortisol on the body and especially since I have been working out more and trying to build more lean muscle mass. Thats because part of the enemy in body sculpting as I understand it is the high cortisol levels that are caused by too much exercise. yes you can actually exercise too much and hit burn out, but it doesn’t burn fat, apparently it eats the muscle. This means burning less fat in subsequent work outs apparently.
So here are a few links for those that were interested in the sports and what cortisol levels should be doing after sports to encourage the repair of muscle, Or even avoiding over treatment in general since this is going to have the same effect on muscle as stress related elevated cortisol levels.
