Susan A.Anne Marie - When I had that last blood draw about 3 weeks ago - I did not have it in the morning. I hadn’t been able to get in to get it done before my appt so he did it then after the appt. which was about 4:30 pm. I have been taking the Dex at about 9:30 or 10:00 am. (I take it a few hours after my Levoxyl - thyroid meds - or it makes me really dizzy). When I used to take Dex at night I would have my blood draw at about 8am. I took the Dex at 10 or 11 pm then. By 5:00pm the next day I was tired and worn out. I’m not anymore. That was also the time I would get migraines - between 4 and 5pm. I haven’t had one migraine (not that I remember) since I went to daytime dosing. I believe for me the migraines are linked to low cortisol. Maybe the time of the blood draw makes quite a difference - would my numbers be lower in the afternoon? I don’t know.
This is really interesting for me. Tapering is not fun though. My body is not happy on less cortisol - at least initially. I believe though that in the long run I will be doing better with a lower dose - if I can just get there without too much discomfort.
