re: Injection and ER visit

Janet, Iv’e had a similar experience.  My daughter is 6 with SWCAH.  Her endo has always said to try giving extra Cortef by mouth after vomitting, and not inject unless she vomits the extra dose.  I have learned to inject after the first vomit when it is associated with a virus.  If she has car sickness, we can double dose by mouth, and she’s fine, we know she won’t vomit again in that case.  But if the vomitting is associated with fever, cold or sore throat, we don’t waste any time.  Luckily, our endo is willing to support this course of treatment, because the Dr’s orders for school were written the way we want her treated, which is inject right away.  So far we have had a healthy start to the cold and flu season, but I’m prepared for that injection!  Prayers to you and Olivia and Happy Thanksgiving.
