Hi everyone. I am new to this board and to the world of CAH. We just learned 2 months ago that our 4 year old son has CAH - Simple Virilizing form. He is currently on Cortef (5 mg) 3x day and Florinef 1x day. I was just wondering if anyone out there has a situation that involves CAH and another type of developmental disability?

My son is on the Autistic Spectrum. He seems to be mildly Autistic and possibly ADHD or PDD (all so confusing). We visited a Developmental Pediatrician who noticed our son’s size (he looks as if he is 10) and immediately sent us to an Endocrinologist. This endo told us that there is no relationship between the disability and CAH. While this may be the case, it presents a double set of challenges. Just wondering if anyone else had the same concerns.
