Hi There,

The problem is that sometimes if the treatment is too high, this can suppress all the hormones needed to achieve a healthy sperm count.  Also in under treatment, if the testosterone levels are too high, this of course can cause the testicles to shut down the production of sperm.  So really what your Doctor needs to be doing is looking at the levels more closely and helping your husband to get those levels adjusted so that things improve.  of course even when they adjust the cortisol dose closer to what it should be, it can take a few months before you see results.  perhaps that is why he has advised that improvement will not be for some months?  In fact from any adjustement made in the med’s things will take time after "each" adjustment I’d imagine before sperm start to be produced at adequate amounts pr you can tell if that particular adjustment has worked or not.

As much as you no doubt hear people say "Don’t stress" in this case it may be good advise because stress will actually cause more problems where your husband is concerned as that in itself will cause imbalances with his corticosteroid or anabolic steroid levels.  So it may be best t chill out in the meantime and wait it out.
