Well those doses may be excessive anyway even if it was SWCAH, atleast for a small baby anyway.   How much does the Endo want the doses reduced back to or does he want to quit med’s altogether?  Cushing symptoms are a big deal, and if baby is over treated growth will slow down.    Ashley my son is severe salt wasting and twice daily dosed at our babies age and did not start off on such high doses of cortisol replacement.  (He was diagnosed at 12 days old and had an adrenal crisis).   He was on less than 5mg Hydrocortisone per day.  The florinef has always been the same.  Does the Doctor want to stop the Florinef completely or leave that dose as it is.  Sorry to ask extra questions, you didn’t make it clear whether he just wants to reduce cortisone or both med’s.

From the tests done what do they feel they should be doing?  

I was also just wondering also what had happened around the deafness issue.  Did you sort that out and do you know anything more about your babies hearing yet?  Or is it too soon to tell?
