Sandra,

Of course the main reason for my confussion is that I have very present what happened 4 months ago... Still, my endo is saying that there are many reasons for a baby to waste salt. Anyway, I’ll follow your advise (same as Kelly Leight has given me) to contact the genetic counselor of Dr Maria New, which I’ll do monday morning.

The ACTH was very high when they made the tests at the hospital. My endo hasn’t given me any explanation for that. But the point again is that he is not making a diagnostic yet, but rather rejecting the original one, SWCAH due to 21--hydroxilase. He wants to put Chresten in the hospital early in january to reduce the rest of the medication and then start to do some tests to make a diagnostic. I have an interview with the genetist of  La Paz on monday morning to talk about the results.

As you, I am far from being an expert, but everything I’m seeing and reading leads me to think that he might have an adrenal problem but not a salt wasting form. Since the beginning, the results were never straight forward and we always had a little bit the feeling that my ped was pushing the results to "fit" the initial diagnostic. On the other hand, I also trust him a lot, he is an experienced doctor.

Anyway, I’ll keep you posted. Thank you so much for your constant support. It means a lot to me.
