This scenerio scares the wits out of me, Amber. I concur with JanetD, that even if you are doubling/tripling her meds, her body may not be absorbing them properly when she’s got a "bug". We are also instructed to give the shot if they vomit more than once. Nearly 11 yrs ago now, my 23 mo old son had a "bug" (with only ONE episode of vomitting), and I DIDN’T give the shot; he slept all night and a good chunk of the morning, only rousing a few times for sips of juice, before I realized that he was not just "sleepy tired". He never woke up again. I concede that I am probably overly paranoid now, but I would err in favour of giving an unnecessary shot, rather than taking the "wait and see" approach.
