KIMThat really brings back memories. December 2,1992 is a day I will never forget. We were told after a very long and difficult delivery( 8 days earlier )that our son had a "rare disease" ,baptized him and sent him via ambulance to the local Childrens Hospital(CHOP). Of course no one knowing what it was ,how he would be or if he would even make it.At that point he was very, very sick.Fortunately I had a difficult delivery with complications so my hospital stay extended 9 days and they kept him in with me ,because we did not go home 2- 3 days after delivery they were able to pick up on it . T hey told me if we went home earlier it would have been too late.
Who would have ever guessed 10yrs and 2 children later,(our 9 month old girl also has CAH) we would go through this again, this time it was picked up before she was born and she is doing well.
Needless to say December is a very special and thankful month for us, for I thought our world had ended this time 10 yrs ago.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
