Susan A.Aimee - I started Dex at age 19 just because that’s what was prescribed and I didn’t know anything about LOCAH/CAH - I just did what he told me (well - actually - most of the time) I know what you mean about the pale face deal - I have that too when I’m on too low of a dose. oh - about the bone density thing - I had lost 7% density in my right hip in one year - my endo freaked and put me on Fosamax - I only took it for maybe 4 months and at my next bone density test (which was about 5 months later) my bones were fine. The stuff works like a charm! No side effects either for me. I’ve gotta say - I’m thrilled about the rosacea gone - my skin looks great - smooth, clear - I can see the good job the laser surgery did now last August - before I couldn’t even tell. Just a simple thing like less meds.
Today I went hiking with a friend. I’ve gotta say - it seemed that on more dex I got worn out easier hiking. When I was on .5, I would always take an extra .5 for hiking. Today we hiked 6.5 miles and I only took .5 total (my usual .375 and 2/3 of another .375 (jeez - this splitting a .75 pill into two (.375 and .375) and then trying to split half into 2/3 - confusing. Don’t know if you notice this but when my cortisol is low and I’m trying to figure out how much more to take - is the worst time. My math skills are nill. I have no concentration. Is it like that for you too?
