I’m wondering if there’s a way that we could put together some money to help someone who wanted to adopt these girls. It would need to be handled by someone who could manage the donations and then give the money to whoever eventually goes to adopt them.

CARES is an official non-profit organization, so there’s already some accountability there for finances (people would want the donations to go through some place that can be trusted, and I don’t have the accountability that an official 501c(3) organization would have). D’ya think Kelly Leight would be interested in helping out with that part? Between here, CARES, Anne-Marie’s site and all the other CAH sites and organizations surely we could get together enough money to cover the expenses.

I know of a few wealthy people who like donating to ventures like this, as long as there’s sufficient accountability. I could see if they’d be interested in donating some, if the effort was organized properly.
