I think sometimes you are either mathematical person or not.  Some people are artistic and some are not.  Some are good with English and comprehension and some are not...but children and adults will always have a strong point or settle with one of the above.  I cannot make out what Ashley is... because he does all three well so far.  He is as good at mathematics and he is english and art.  Chloë on the other hand is not as mathematical, but her english is coming up to speed and her Art is excellent and most of her teachers have commented on this.  She wants to do something creative for a career and likes the idea of Fashion Designer.  Lol she wrote to "Chloë" the fashion designer (Paul McCartney’s daughter) and told her she was going to do that.  The other day she went outside and picked some flowers from out the garden and within five minutes she had done three floral displays with bottle brush and allsorts and they looked as good as a florist can turn out.

My six year old Aran is the same as Chloë...and he is going to be an excellent artist.  He can draw cars and has good imagination...even better than Chloë with his art at that age...and has good hand /eye coordination but has just been through reading recovery as he was lagging.   Kyle is a difficult one...but he never stops chattering and he is very fussy and argumentative, so I see him being or making a good sales rep or Politician...LOL!   The youngest Tyler-Leigh is good at aiming and throwing things now at aged two!  He can throw a car at one of the kids and donk them on the head from across the room.  Can even catch a ball also in the last few weeks and he climbs all the time so I think that he is going to be a very active person and on the go.  His language has not developed as quickly as Kyle’s did though which has surprised me.  I thought that it would because I thought they picked this up from brothers and sisters and lot’s of interraction.  But no...not to be.  He looks like he is going to be a doer...opposite to Kyle who is a deep thinker.

Thats why I say everyone is different in what they pick up and excel in.  I have never been mathematical and art was always my strong point.  I think kid’s should be encouraged in what they do best most of the time.  It helps them to become more in tune with what they want to do as an adult career wise.
