I am 49 hypo,polycystic ovaries,being treated for depression (the second time),but doing ok there,had blood clot in leg about 3 years ago,test shows I am low in estrogen and in past told I shouldnt take any hormones because of the blood clot,but regular doctor says I need estrogen.Well many years ago I seen a endocrinologist who did some test ,and said I had a enzyme defect of the adrenal glands in the 17 keto-steriods. I never knew what that meant nor was told. I am wondering today if I should see another endo to be tested again with all these other things? I dont handle stress very well. At least something in me doesnt. I almost lost my teaching job at beginning of 2002 because of second depression and anxiety. I would be in my class and need to just up and leave. Missed a lot ,and when I explained what was happening after seeing psychiatrist for meds and counselor my priincipal could have cared less. I am a special ed teacher. Use to teach in the severe and profound class ,but now in resource english which is less stress. Any info would be greatly appreciated. thankyou susanp
