Spaced out - and a DNA question
Jan. 2nd, 2003   10:08pm

My 7 month old SWCAH daughter has started kind of "spacing out"  she looks at nothing and doesn’t respond to my voice right away as she usually does.  We just reduced her cortef from 5 mg to 3.75 mg a couple of weeks ago (she is on .2 mg of florinef), and she has also been a bit uncomfortable with her first tooth coming in.  I didn’t know if this was a normal baby occurance, a medication reduction occurance, or even a not feeling quite up to par occurance and thought I would ask.

Also, I mentioned in another post about DNA testing and how my husband, nor I, nor our little girl have one of the 10 mutations of the gene that Dr. New’s office looks for and I was wondering if anyone else has had that happen and what were their results?  I understand that these mutations makeup 95% of the cases so we are probably the 5% left over but I find it odd that both my husband NOR I have one of the ten.   They will be sequencing two of our daughter’s genes to try and figure it out (they keep asking if my husband and I are related! He is American Indian/Irish from Seattle and I am English/French from Arkansas so I doubt it...heh)

Thanks beforehand.

God Bless,

Rebecca
