CAH & anemia

Hello:

I’ve been scanning other web sites about anemia and some of them addressed the connect of a malformation in the body creating anemia. This particular site mention the kidney’s, the adrenal gland, and Addison’s Disease. I’m just wondering if anyone has thoughts on this. The more I read about anemia, the more fascinated I am about a connection. At first, I was ticked off about it. I figured ...shoot, just CAH and no more alright! Very self righteous of me (lol) then in the words of Dr.Phil, I told my self " to get over it."

My hemoglobin in the past had been 4.9 then 6.3 and now it is 7.9. Normal is 11 to 15 . I started taking iron pills but they make me so nauseated that I couldn’t function. Now, I’m going to the hospital once a week for IV Ferrlecit, it is helping but does anyone have an idea of what side effects might result by doing something like this? I know that having low iron surpasses any of the side effects but I’m just curious about them just the same. I have a good diet, I eat everything and anything but still the low iron. I was wondering if I’m going to have to eat just green foods 24/7 ? which is not a problem because I live by a natural foods store and the salad dressings that they have their are out of this world yummy.

Haven’t been feeling well all last week and I feel worse today. I got a bad cold, sore throat and a slight fever plus I pulled a muscle in my leg but I’m going to meet my new sister-in-law, no matter what today. They live in another state and it could be a year or more before I see her again. Going to take some extra hydrocortisone and put on a big smile.

Thanks,

Aimee
