I had a hysterectomy done almost 2 years ago. I found that it took me almost 12 months to get over it however there are others who have had it done and they have gotten over it very quickly. I think that it depends on your health a the time you have it and how you react to anaesthesia. Every one is different and we all react differently to situations. You must make sure that you are stress dosed and that you don’t come down too quickly - which my stupid doctors did.

I have also found that anaesthesia also plays up with the depression which causes a vicious circle which means stress dosing - play it safe and involve your endocrinologist as much as possible to stop these problems occurring.

Apart from these problems it was the best thing that has happened - no more periods and the pain that goes with it.
