Due date tomorrow?  Wow...I cannot beleive that they would base their diagnosis of CAH on 17 OHP levels that have been taken in a prem baby before the actual due date.  Weird...especially when you consider that they could be higher for the reasons I pointed out as opposed to CAH.

I think that they also sometimes give prems cortisol anyway don’t they due to lung immaturity also...

Sorry to assume that they did not do genetic testing.  you did not mention it and seemed in disbelief that the child had CAH so I assumed that genetic testing had not been done yet.  Despite  the fact that you both show up in genetic testing to have the recessive gene ..at the rate that your baby is going, it sounds like he may either not have been unfortunate to have inherited CAH or he has it to such a mild degree that it possibly may not need treatment.  Some kids I hear can go without and just need monitoring of the bloods regularly.  Hope that you get to the bottom of that anyway and settle on an appropriate treatment for his sake and his growth and development or labs pick up.
