My pre-school does not have medication on hand, my older son attends public shcool and they do have emergency medication on hand. My kids have had a couple broken bones, none too serious, stiches etc..., and with my kids the only time they have "gotten into trouble" is with vomiting or a prolonged viral/bacterial infection.

I think you tell the school under what circumstances to call you and you will be in good shape.

One side note, one of my sons teachers, new this year, has salt wasting CAH. Interesting. She is doing great and has never had a problem, she asked her mother if she went to all this trouble when she was little, as she does not remeber it ever being an issue when she was a kid.
